Dr. Grills is a clinical psychologist, recognized throughout California and the nation for her expertise in the development of empowerment, participatory models of evaluation, and issues of cultural competency. She has directed research and evaluation studies in Ghana, Nigeria and the United States, and is an expert on African traditional medicine and African psychology research.

Dr. Grills also has an extensive record in project management, evaluation, and technical assistance for a host of community-based organizations and projects. She is experienced in the management of complex, multi-site projects involving diverse teams, with multiple timelines and deliverables.
